Do Voluntary Sacrifice of Identity
“Cool the Globe” action & the Need for Coalition
We have entered the age of Global Warming. The hardship and sufferings that the people, particularly the poor are bound to encounter will be huge. Already the problems like illiteracy, unemployment, poverty, diseases, pollution, human rights violations, lack of basic civic infrastructure, communal disharmony, lake of safety, etc are there. Of late these problems are on the increase and certain cases compounding and even multiplying.
On the other side, which is without doubt positive, there are wonderful service organisations doing yeomen service. Each organisation is very good in a particular service / activity and has core expertise. There is no need to explain the importance of coalition. Right from Nations to Political parties there have been always coalitions to pool different strengths and realise success.
Then why not Service Organisations and NGOs come together, form coalitions, particularly provide people education , vocations , health , water , roads , etc . The work done by the Clubs are indeed great. If they come together and adopt villages and slums and give their total focus , what a difference that it would make.
&
What I know, you do not know Together we know a lot
Similarly
What you can do, I can not do
&
What I can do, you cannot do Together we can do a lot
Each service clubs knows a thing very well. If all join & work hand in hand ???
No doubt there are so many slums and villages.
But there are also so many service clubs and their chapters.
SCSC spells out
8 stigmas affecting villages and slums
and how the clubs can remove them and realise
8 sigma , standards concerning basic needs.
Then paradise will dawn on the slums and villages so adopted. It needs a lot of sacrifice particularly not to bother too much about the individual identity of the respective clubs and work together to realise super SYNERGY.
In the age of Climate Change, there is a very urgent necessity to do this . Clubs on their own , social service volunteers and even people who live in slums and villages can take the initiative and make this happen in his / her place.
